General Information
Kiev is the capital and the largest city of Ukraine, located in the north central part of the country on the Dnieper river.

839 km2

Population
Officially 2,6 million people, real number is more than 4, 1 million.

Climate
Kiev has a continental humid climate. The warmest months are June, July, and August, with mean temperatures of 14 to 25°C. The coldest are December, January, and February, with mean temperatures of −5 to 0°C. Winter is usually snowy.

Money and Currency
Hrivnya(Grivna) is Ukrainian national currency.

Transport
The city has an extensive infrastructure and highly developed system of public transport, including a Kiev Metro system.
